Getting Here

Located about just a few miles from the geographic center of the United States, Belle Fourche is ideally located for visitors coming from any direction.   The nearest airport is about 60 miles away, in Rapid City, SD.  Gillette, WY, is also not far, just over 90 miles away.  We are close to both northeastern Wyoming and southeastern Montana.

BY CAR OR MOTORCOACH

US Interstate 90 is the main route for driving to the Black Hills, but you can also enter the area on east-west highways US 16, US 18, US 212, SD 34 or SD 40; and north-south highways US 85, US 385 and SD 79. The South Dakota Department of Transportation keeps all highways in excellent driving condition, even during hard winters.  Belle Fourche is located just 10 miles north of US Interstate 90 (exit 10) along US 85.

Rapid City Regional Airport is the commercial airline hub for the Black Hills. It is serviced by Allegiant AirAmerican Airlines/American EagleDelta Airlines, and United Airlines. Private charters also land at state-approved airports in Rapid City, Hot Springs, Custer, Wall, Sturgis, Spearfish, Sundance and Belle Fourche.

Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport is also nearby in Gillette, WY.  It is serviced by United Airlines.

Belle Fourche Municipal Airport as mentioned above accommodates private charters.
